On Friday, members of our student council presented their fundraising plans to the class. We learned that they have been brainstorming ways to support the animals affected by the Australian forest fires. Today, we were asked to help out by determining the amount of fabric that would be needed to make 20 bat wraps. Bat wraps simulate mothers' wings and are used by caregivers to wrap injured or orphaned bats so they will feel safe. Click the following link to find out more about this project:

Our question: How many metres of fabric will we need to make 20 bat wraps?
Measurements: 25 cm ( width) x 120 cm ( length) for each wrap
Below you will see the work students completed in order to solve this problem. It was amazing to watch everyone dig in and work as a group to find the answer.
We will need 5m of fabric to make our bat wraps. The next step will be to determine the price of the fabric.
